Exciting News!

My sister Allison got her mission call yesterday...to Jakarta Indonesia! Wow!! She leaves April 29 and everyone's reaction can be summed up in one word: shocked!

New Words

Since we went to South Carolina for Christmas, Clara has been saying lots of new words and phrases. I think being around Sarah helped her a lot. Here are a few new words:

My First Table Runner

I made this table runner for my mom for her birthday. She was staying with us for a couple weeks before her birthday, so I had to secretly and frantically work on it in my bedroom. It took a lot of work, but I think it turned out pretty good.

Vacation Fun

Here are a few last pictures from our vacation. Clara found this little car in the garage and had such a fun time with it. She played around in it while we played basketball in the driveway.

We had a family bowling game, which Jason and I rocked! I got a 141 and Jason got 125. My dad was very impressed.

On our last day in warm weather we went on the houseboat, which was wonderful. It was a great day and perfect weather.

Tidbits

Here are a few tidbits of fun we've been up to:

Going to the pool.

Playing hide and seek in the cupboard.

Making graham cracker houses.

Sneaking grapes off the food table at a baby shower.

Trying on Sarah's new Belle slippers (and walking quite well in them, actually).

Christmas

We've had a fun Christmas holiday in South Carolina, with warm weather and lots of family. Clara was overwhelmed by all the Christmas morning excitement, and this is one of the few moments that she was really happy--while feeding Sarah's baby with her new bottle.

Clara enjoyed playing on Tate's new little horse, while Tate pushed around Sarah's shopping cart and Sarah played with Clara's train.

We spent Christmas Eve at Mauri's house, where we had a little program and scattered reindeer food in the yard. Sarah and Clara enjoyed doing that.
